How we earn

Free for businesses

You do not pay us to explore funding routes, build a plan, use our calculators or compare providers. We never charge for a promised loan or a promised grant, because nobody can promise either.

When we are paid

Some providers and marketplaces pay us when a business we introduced receives funding. Where we work through a marketplace or broker, we may receive a share of what that intermediary earns, not a percentage of your loan.

Payment usually depends on the funding actually completing. It can be reversed if the agreement is cancelled, and the amounts differ from provider to provider.

Shown on every card

Every provider card says whether we may be paid if you are funded through it. If a provider pays us nothing, the card says that too.

What payment never changes

• Whether a product appears in your shortlist.
• The order of your results.
• How your criteria are marked met, not met or unknown.
• The costs and figures we calculate.

We keep commission settings in a separate system from the matching rules, so the matching logic cannot see them.

Advertising and sponsorship

We may publish clearly labelled advertising or sponsored educational content. It is always marked as such and is never placed inside your personal plan or shortlist.

Other income we may add

In future we may offer paid tools, for example a workspace for keeping plans and documents ready, or software for accountants and business advisers. Anything paid will be optional, priced openly and kept separate from the free comparison.
